Route "Alaska"
10 days / 9 nights
Day 1
We arrive in Anchorage, the largest city in Alaska. About 300,000 people live here, making it the northernmost settlement in the United States with such a population.
Day 2
We have breakfast and go on an excursion around Prince William Sound. The cruise starts from the town of Whittier, the road to which lies through a unique tunnel - the second longest on the entire continent. In Whittier we will board a passenger ship. We will sail as close as possible to the ancient
glaciers: huge chunks of ice are constantly breaking off from them. Transparent blue icebergs will be just a few meters away from us. And whales, seals, otters and seabirds will swim in the water. The cruise will last all day, in the evening - rest at the hotel.
Day 3
In the morning, we dress warmly and prepare for an active day. We board a train that moves through the Chugach National Park. Along the way, we enjoy views of lakes and mountains. We drive to Spencer Glacier and go kayaking right at its foot. No special skills are required for a boat trip.
After lunch we will not only be able to see the glacier, but also walk along it during
trekking. We'll put on crampons and walk among the white and blue ice. Return by train to Anchorage, dinner and rest.
Day 4
Breakfast, check out of the hotel. We move north to the Cord Lake Trail, a popular trekking route. We will climb to the lake of the same name and admire the view of the emerald reservoir. Having reached the goal, we will make a stop and have lunch on
nature.
In the afternoon, we will take a tour of the gold prospectors' museum. The open-air historical park preserves the mines and a small village where the diggers lived. Afterwards, we will visit a husky farm.
Day 5
Today we will see the highest point of North America. We will fly through the national park to the best viewpoint called Kantishna. From there, there is a view of the summit of Denali.
Day 6
After breakfast, we will explore Denali on foot. During the trek, we will be able to meet moose and beavers. At the end of the path, we will come to a lake, near which we will organize a picnic. Another point of our plan is a buggy excursion with beautiful views. Closer to the evening, we will overcome the trail 2 miles long. We will meet marmots and deer, admire flowering plants.
Transfer to the hotel, dinner, rest.
Day 7
Breakfast and check-out. We drive to Fairbanks. Upon arrival, we will have lunch in an old saloon - it has existed since 1933. Then we will visit the residence of Santa Claus. We will walk through the souvenir shops in the Christmas style and continue our way. We will check into the hotel, leave our things and spend the evening in the hot springs of China, which are located in the open air. If desired, we will visit the ice bar.
Day 8
We check out of the hotel and drive towards Glennallen. The drive is along the most
scenic Alaskan Highway. We'll stop at the famous sign marking the end of the transatlantic route.
Its other end is in Ushuaia, the southern "edge of the world." After lunch, we'll head to the Rainbow Ridge.
Заселение в гостиницу и отдых.
Day 9
